To national flights no extra costs provided they are within the free baggage allowed.

Note:

*Cannot exceed 62” or 100 lbs (45 kg).

** Bicycles packed in a suitcase or in a box that does not exceed 70 lbs (32 kg) or 64” are considered luggage.

The luggage restriction dates apply to overweight and oversize articles and to additional luggage or boxes containing the items listed above.

Archery Equipment

Aero Republica and Copa Airlines accept an article pertaining to archery equipment per passenger instead of a piece of baggage within the franchise. All items must be packed properly.

An article Archery Equipment can be:

  • A Arc
  • A Carjac with arrows
  • Maintenance equipment the enough resistent to protect in case of accident

To international flights, when billed in addition to excess baggage allowance, apply for excess baggage charges.

Bycicles

Bicycles are subject to a service charge of only $ 40.00 USD to all destinations.

Types of bycicles

  • No motorized
  • Sports (powers) of a single seat

Conditions of Acceptance

  • One bicycle per passenger
  • The pedals must be removed and put aside capstan
  • All small items such as: chains, screws, breaks,etc.
  • Should have been put in plastic bags o Bicycles should be well packed in a box to avoid contact with the aircraft hold.

Bowling Equipment

To international flights, Aero Republica and Copa Airlines accept a game of bowling equipment
per passenger instead of a piece of baggage within the franchise.

When billed in addition to excess baggage allowance (two pieces) are subject to charge by only service of $ 30.00 USD to all international destinations.

A bowling team consists of the following items:

  • A pair of bowling shoes
  • One bowling ball
  • One bag

Camping Equipment

To international flights, Aero Republica and Copa Airlines accept a Camping Equipment provided that it meets the dimensions and weight set (not more than 62 "and 45 kgs).

When billed in addition to excess baggage allowance, apply excess baggage charges.

The following items will be accepted as part of Camping Equipment:

  • Tent
  • Backpacks
  • Sleeping Bags

Articles made of vinyl, cotton, plastics, fabrics and articles that have metal and aluminum frames, strap and belts are billed as fragile items.

Canoes

Aero Republica and Copa Airlines not accept Canoes, Boats, Kayaks, Jet Skis Surf Skis or as baggage. If you have passengers with these items please refer to the Cargo Department.

Exception:

  • TInflatable kayaks will be accepted as baggage, if deflated meet the measures in place (no more than 62 ").

Sporting Firearms

Polítics

Aero Republica y Copa Airlines carry sporting weapons through national police gunstore to nationwide.
All passengers which want to carry a gun sport shall without exception the boarding pass of Aero Republica and Copa Airlines and valid identification and current member of the National Shooting Federation FEDETIRO

Maximum capacity will be allowed two (2) sports weapons, if the passenger has an additional weapon for personal protection, only be allowed to add one (1) of this type for a total of three (3).
The maximum allowable number of sporting arms ammunition is 5 kilograms (11 lbs approximately 500 rounds) per flight.
Ammunition with explosive or incendiary projectiles is not allowed.

The firearms and/or ammunition for sporting use always be sent separately downloaded and duly packed in special case (the manufacturer's original packaging or packaging safety of metal, wood or fiber).

The firearms or ammunition always send documented (this is necessary to fill the form "proof gauging arms" completely and clearly).

To international flights:

Aero Republica and Copa Airlines accept an article of Team Competition per passenger instead of a piece of baggage within the franchise.

Automatic weapons will not be accepted for transportation.
All fire weapons must be properly packaged and ready for shipment containers.

Be considered as competition team, any of the following:

  • A carrying case rifle, with no more than 2 rifles, with or without telescopic sights, 11 pounds (5 kg.), ammunition, silencer and tools.
  • Two cases with pistols and 11 (5 kg.) pounds of ammunition.

On international flights, any of these items billed in addition to the free baggage allowance,are subject to a only service charge of $ 30.00 USD to all destinations.

Fishing Equipment

To international flights, Aero Republica and Copa Airlines accept an article of fishing equipment per passenger in exchange for one of the pieces allowed in the franchise, except From / To USA.

All items must be packed properly in boxes that do not exceed the following dimensions: 8 x 8 x 84 inches.

Be considered as fishing equipment the following:

  • 2 fishing rods
  • One web
  • A pair of fishing boots
  • Fishing reel
  • A box with tackles

Any of these items billed in addition to the free baggage allowance, subject to a only service charge of $ 40.00 USD to all destinations, except From / To USA where there will be a fee of $ 25.00 USD, because the team Fisheries are not within the permitted baggage allowance From / To these two destinations.

For domestic flights fishing equipment is considered part of the free baggage allowance.

Golf Equipment

To international flights, Aero Republica and Copa Airlines accept an article for Golf Equipment passenger in exchange for one of the pieces allowed in the franchise.
All items must be packed properly in cases
suitable for transportation.

Be considered as Golf equipment the following:

  • One Golf bag
  • 1 to 14 Golf sticks
  • 12 bags
  • A pair of golf shoes

The golf bag must be inside a case.

Any of these items billed in addition to the free baggage allowance, subject to a service charge of only $ 30.00 USD to all destinations.

To national flights golf equipment is considered part of the free baggage allowance.

Gliders

Aero Republica and Copa Airlines not accept Gliders as checked baggage or as cargo due to the dimensions of these on the size of our aircraft.

Knives And Scissors

Aero Republica and Copa Airlines regulate and controlled the transport of any article which may be used as a weapon inside the aircraft.

No allows knives, razors and scissors as hand luggage.

All types of scissors and knives are allowed as checked baggage. These items must be properly packaged and wrapped to prevent damage to baggage.

Parachutes

To national and international flights, Aero Republica and Copa Airlines accepted carry parachute provided they comply with the dimensions and weights provided. If they are carried as hand baggage must comply with the prescribed dimensions to fit comfortably under the passenger seat.

Diving Equipment

Aero República y Copa Airlines do not accept the Diving equipment as part of the baggage allowance permitted.

Diving Each article is subject to a service charge of only $ 30.00 USD to all destinations.

The Diving Equipment consists of

  • An empty tank
  • A regulator
  • A pressure measurer
  • A mask with a breathing tube
  • A knive
  • A harpoon
  • A waistcoat
  • A belt with weights

At the empty tank and a bag containing some of the articles mentioned here will apply the service charge as two separate pieces..

To international flights, Aero Republica and Copa Airlines accept an article for Ski Equipment per passenger in exchange for one of the pieces allowed in the franchise.
All items must be packed properly in cases appropriate for their transport

Be considered as Ski equipment the following:

  • A pair of skies snow/water shoes
  • A pair of skies snow/water shoes
  • A pair of snow shoes, boots, sticks and skies
